Enabled by an exclusive lease with the city, HYS has served as a steward of the Sundance ParkĬomplex in Homedale, helping to fund numerous improvements to that facility including: a new playground, a renovated storage building, thousands of dollars of diamond dust for the five infields, a 1000 square foot tentĬanopy, numerous new picnic tables, new dugouts on all five fields, and new sprinkler systems for all five infields. The city of Homedale agreed with the proposal and has since worked closely with HYS to serve the Homedale community.

In the fall of 2007, a small group of parents met to discuss the possibility of creating an independent organization to improve the quality of youth athletic programs in Homedale. Due to our classification as a 501(c)3 charity, contributions to HYS are tax deductible. (HYS) is a charitable organization founded in Homedale, Idaho in January of 2008. Their full potential in the skills necessary for each sporting program, so that they may be well adjusted, stronger, and happier children and will grow to be good, decent, healthy, and trustworthy citizens." -HYS Mission is to implant firmly in the children of the community the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage, respect for authority, and to encourage each child to maximize Gazebos, firewood, ice vending machines, summer activities, horseshoe pits, basketball court.

Then team leaders will lead the volunteers to the work sites, with the necessary tools, and the fun begins: weeding and repairing the edge rocks along trail, removing Nandina and Ligustrum plants with weed wrenches and shovels, clearing rock and debris from the switchback trail, repairing some of the wood railings, blocking erosive short cut paths, working on the retaining walls that support the wood bridge, graffiti removal and trash pick up. We will be set up for registration, breakfast tacos fortification, and orientation for tasks by our team leaders at 8:45 am, at the trail entry.
